What Will I Study?
The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Provides candidates with a high quality, vocationally related qualification that demonstrates their competence within their job.
The Health Care Sector is one that requires staff to be well trained and in the know about policies, procedures and be competent as well as efficient in dealing with patients.
The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) QCF confirms competence in areas of health and social care as appropriate and is the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the social care sector in the UK

For the EDEXCEL Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, we cover two pathways and they are;

Unit 14- Facilitate person centred assessment, planning, implementation and review
Unit15- Support use of medication in social care settings
Unit 16- Understand the process and experience of dementia
Unit 17- Awareness of Sensory loss
What Qualifications Will I Get?
EDEXCEL Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)
How Will I Be Assessed?
This qualification is assessed through a variety of methods including reflective accounts, written assignments, producing work related evidence and quizzes. Your course materials will be made available to you online and on sign up you will be allocated a tutor who will support you through your entire course.
What Are The Entry Requirements?
You will need to be working in the capacity of senior support worker in supported project living/day activities, senior healthcare assistant or senior care assistant.
Once you have signed up to the course you will complete a skills scan and a literacy assessment to ensure you are competent in general communication skills within the health and social care setting.
The course is offered as an online course and all your materials are available online. You will receive access to all materials once the course fees have been paid. You can also undertake a classroom based session at Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care can be used as a route to nursing qualifications. You will also need to achieve your English and Math and GCSE level or functional skills Level 2 to be able to apply for nursing courses at university
The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care can also be used as a route to level 4/5 training.
